Harrison's Birthday Weekend

We've been celebrating since Thursday night!

Thursday night we let Harrison go ahead and open his presents from us, since we knew he had a lot more coming this weeked (from his party and Christmas with the Wilsons). After dinner, we put the kids in the tub and set everything up. Harrison was so surprised!
We got him a blow up firetruck ball pit! I would highly recommend this -- it was the best $25 I've spent in a long time. He's played in it constantly, especially after we added more balls. He also got a take along Thomas, a new backpack with "church toys" in it, blocks, a tractor playset, plus some other things. Madeleine gave him some new books that she picked out herself, quite proudly.

Saturday all of Harrison's Grandparents and Uncle Cameron were able to be here for his birthday party! We had brunch and opened presents. By this time Harrison was an old pro at presents and knew exactly what to do! He was hilarious! He would go grab a gift and take it to someone to open for him. He loved everything he got -- a puzzle, a racetrack (the first sound I heard Sunday morning) a Noah's Arc, animals, and tubtoys to name a few.

We worked all week on blowing out a candle, but when the time came he chickened out! So he got some help from sister. We did a train theme for his party. He had a train cake and wore a little train outfit with "caboose" printed on the tush. So cute!

Later that afternoon, we caught Harrison with his face in the cake....

This morning, on his real birthday, we headed up to Bentonville to Krispy Kreme to get snowman donuts. Harrison ate almost 3 donuts! He just couldn't get enough. :) Then we went to our favorite ChickFilA with the treehouse to play and run off some of that sugar. Ha!

I took these pictures this morning so we'd remember how cold it was on Harrison Birthday this year! Check that out -- 5 degrees. I don't remember it ever being this cold.

Our pond out back even froze! Matt threw a golf ball on it and it just bounced across to the other side.
