Weekend Away

This past weekend Matt had a meeting up in Fayetteville, so we dropped Harrison off in Little Rock and Madeleine and I tagged along with him. It was such a fun trip! And, it was really, really good for it to be just us and Madeleine for a couple of days. That girl just loves staying at a hotel! She tells me all the time, "mommy, maybe in a couple more days we can go to the hotel." So, she was VERY excited! We left Friday morning amid the unbelievable March SNOW. While Matt went to his meeting, Madeleine and I went to the pool.

This is pretty much the most of Madeleine that got in the pool! After awhile, she put her body in, but still stayed on the first step. :)
After 2 hours at the pool we headed back to the room where she jumped on the bed for an hour (this is something we ONLY do at hotels, NEVER at home, so it's pretty cool to her). Then she told me she had to "work" and she sat at the desk writing and making her "lists." (wonder who she gets that from!)
After Matt's meeting, we headed to Fudruckers for dinner -- yummy! We love this place & Matt and Madeleine both got their favorite "milkshapes." Don't they look happy! :)
We headed home on Saturday to pick up our little boy -- who did not miss us AT ALL. He wouldn't even leave Grandad's arms for a minute to give me a hug! Guess he's spoiled now too!
