Friday night we headed out to Lights of the Ozarks on the F'ville square. It was earlier than we usually go and see them and it was a little spur of the moment but the weather has been so mild and there have been years in the past that it was so cold we were miserable that we decided we'd better take full advantage of this mild weather. We packed up as soon as Matt got home from work and headed to Red Robin for dinner first.
With full bellies we hit the square. It was gorgeous as it is every year. First off we ran into one of Harrison's kindergarten teachers! Fun! It wasn't too crowded and we walked the perimeter then let the kids meander through the paths up closer to the courthouse.
Charlotte is in complete awe of the lights this year! It's so cute! Her whole little body just lights up with excitement over the lights. In her little tiny voice she says over and over, "I see some lights....I see more lights!" (and she says "lights" "yites" -- love!) It is seriously one of the cutest things ever!
Harrison found this head and wanted his picture taken with is -- this is just before he stuck his finger up the nose and told us he was picking his boogers. Ah, life with a boy.
We paid the $1 and saw the reindeer and Santa. I didn't take any pictures of Santa mostly because I was too cheap to pay the $5 to use my own camera. :)
The kids really like Santa. We hardly had to wait in line at all, but they were quite content to wait to see him. Madeleine asked for McKenna (the AG doll of the year) and Olivia's House (Lego toy). Harrison hasn't really asked for anything, so I was interested to see what he'd ask for. He asked for a Firetruck and a Toy Elf. Hmmmm. And, Charlotte, full of surprises as ever, asked for a pen and some paper. Poor child. That's all she wants. Not to worry -- I asked for a kitchen for her. ;)
